The Ben W Clinic, winter, 2005. W.COQ’s frustration was palpable: while the COQ Bros could churn out tracks in the time it took to play them, producer W would obsess over a 3-chord dirge for his own upcoming Quiet Pleas for months, and while a COQ Bros release had been scheduled on CIR since its inception, it had taken fellow COQ Bro Sniffy C to organise rare out-of-house recording time for the eventual one-and-only contemporary COQ Bros release Rare 2 Medium (CIR 09, 2005). Following the non-appearance of any of these recordings in 2006, COQ and W reached an inevitable parting of ways.
