Quiet Pleas

Quiet Pleas 05:00
I watch you walk into the rain To be the one that got away I want to shout but I refrain "I love you, please!" Will you please be quiet, please? I was the night, you were the day I can't deny I went astray Sometimes I wish I could erase Those memories Will you please be quiet, please? When I would lie, I was alone Turn out the lights, hang up the phone If I could tell you why, I could turn it off If I could change my mind, I could make it stop

Fate is One 02:34
So sorry I'm a boy, wish I was a man I'd make what I've destroyed all over again I'd stare into the face of love Pay homage to the blaze above My brother the sun Our fate is one No hurry, I'm employed with something I planned To break what they've deployed on every man No knowledge of the blades above Both mothers are gone Our fate is one Alone Up until we pass along the way Along the way A longer way

I've come down, I've come down I've had enough Get me out of here I've had enough, yeah I've come down, I've come down (BONUS TRACK: "Wait 4 me")

about

With all the talk of W. COQ in the years since 2006, little is said of his former producer and label-boss CIR CEO Ben W. In truth, maybe W likes it that way. Even at the peak of operations at Cottage Industry, W shunned the light, preferring to let the oft-maniacal COQ engage the public via a sporadic series of shambolist performances far-removed from W’s own clean/minimal aesthetic. Quiet Pleas, W’s slowcore mortality-and-breakup opus, makes clear the aesthetic differences between producer and protege. It’s a goodbye, to lost family, lost friends, and a way of life.
